Sri Lankan health minister meets Cuban ambassador

Colombo, Aug 27 (Prensa Latina) Sri Lanka's Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella talked with Cuban Ambassador Andres Gonzalez about the fight against Covid-19 and the vaccines produced by the Caribbean country, a diplomatic source stated on Friday.

Both officials also talked about the vaccination program for the Cuban population by using their own vaccines.

Upon receiving the Cuban diplomat at the headquarters of his Ministry, Dr. Rambukwella updated Gonzalez on the behavior of the contagious disease in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka, an island country located south of India in the Indian Ocean, has accumulated 412,370 Covid-19 cases, 351,069 recovered patients and 8,157 deaths due to health complications related to the disease.
