Speaking to the National Assembly´s television program, Fanovich recalled how Cuba supported Panama in education programs and sent a medical brigade to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Panamanian deputy made his statement after attending a recent meeting with Cuban diplomats and members of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, in which they exchanged ideas about current situation in Cuba. Leonardo Rodríguez, Cuba’s charge d’affaires in Panama, enlightened about the misrepresentation and discrediting campaign against Cuba by transnational media outlets that supports a strategy orchestrated, financed from Washington and Florida.

Cuba is currently experiencing the consequences of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, worsened by the tightening of hostile measures imposed by previous US government and kept unchanged by the present one.
