The aid including batch includes blankets and warm clothing for the internally displaced, as the winter season is drawing near, the Khaama Press news agency explained.

The aid including blankets and warm clothes will be distributed to internally displaced persons (IDPs) as the winter season drawing near.

Earlier, China had pledged to provide the people of Afghanistan with USD 1.5 million unconditional aid and one million doses of the coronavirus vaccines.

Following the rise to power of the Taliban movement, Afghanistan desperately needs international help.

The armed group seized Kabul in mid-August as the United States and NATO allies pulled their troops out of the country after 20 years of military occupation, more than $2 trillion in war spending and thousands of civilians killed.
