In a video message broadcast to the nation on the occasion of the Agriculture and Food Industry Workers’ Day, the president congratulated the sector’s employees and said that such successes were unthinkable a few years ago.

‘Thanks to your responsible and hard work in recent years, we achieved high levels of harvest, both of grains and other crops,’ he said, despite a difficult and dry summer and a complex epidemiological situation.

He also mentioned that the same annual trend is registered in livestock, with the increase in meat and dairy productions.

‘Viticulture, horticulture and organic production also show strong growth prospects,’ he noted.

The introduction of the most modern technologies in the national agribusiness will make our products more competitive both in the domestic and international market, Putin explained.
