Governor of Havana confirms best scenario of capital for opening

Havana, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) The governor of Havana, Reinaldo García Zapata, confirmed that the epidemiological scenario in the capital is favorable for the gradual reopening of services.

The official explained during a press conference at the International Press Center that Havana is reporting a significant decrease in the number of daily cases, with only 94 confirmed Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.

‘Thanks to our scientists’ ethics and morals, we have managed to stabilize the epidemiological situation. The Covid-19 cases have decreased in the last 11 weeks,’ he said.

The capital is also reporting a drop in the numbers of serious and critical patients.

The governor recognized in this regard the results of vaccination in the city, with 74 percent of its population vaccinated.

The results will make it possible to take on new challenges and develop our social project as a benchmark for the country, he said.
