The participants advocated improving the bloc’s cooperation to counteract the problem and its consequences during the 24th Arab Conference on Terrorism, according to a statement.

The statement specified that several security-related issues were also analyzed, including the creation of a pan-Arab database and the fight against the recruitment of children.

Egypt’s National Center for Studies revealed a week ago that in the past month alone, more than 140 terrorist attacks were carried out in the Middle East, 56 of these in Iraq, 29 in Syria and 22 in Afghanistan.

Although the latter country is not geographically part of the region, it was included in the report.
