Opposition backs reactivation of talks in Venezuela

Maduro- venezuela
Caracas, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) The reactivation of the political talks in Venezuela currently gains support for the diverse sectors of the opposition, following a decision by President Nicolas Maduro to advance towards a broad and inclusive consultation process.

In this line, Legislator to the National Assembly Jose Gregorio Correa, of the Democratic Action party, advocated for the “nationalization” of future negotiations between the Government and antagonistic organizations, considering that this new process must be carried out in the national territory.

Likewise, the Committee for Independent Political Electoral Organization (COPEI) underlined the need to nationalize talks. “Venezuela cannot live conditioned by a third country,” the organization posted on its Twitter account.

The COPEI also reiterated its position in favor of the definitive lifting of the international coercive measures against the country, after it proved that they only and exclusively affect the Venezuelan people.

Jorge Rodriguez, President of the National Assembly, expressed this week the commitment to advance to a more inclusive talk process with the participation of all sectors of the Venezuelan socio-political scenario.
