Despite the constant effects caused by Covid-19, the improvement schedule continued in various ways, and on this occasion the Colombian institutions: La Sabana and the Pontíficia Universidad Javeriana, served as the venue for the meetings.

According to notes on the official website of the Antillean house of higher education, “the meeting facilitated an exchange with those responsible, managers and beneficiaries of the third mission and linked it to the results of the institutional impact measurement reports prepared during the 2020-2021 academic year″, reported Yaité Caballero Mota, directrice of International Relations at the institution.

After its beginning in 2018 under the auspices of the European Union, universities in Colombia, Panama and Cuba, “always tried to enhance the impact of our centers in the community, and the various levels of the region,” he told Prensa Latina the previous yeaR, Caballero, coordinator of the program on this island.

On this occasion, from March 14 to 18, Latin American academics met with representatives of the Colombian Association of Universities, the National Accreditation Council and the Ascolfa Latin American Collaboration Network in a dialogue on quality and accreditation.

She commented on the UC’s own publication that the specialists were also present at the Project Coordination Meeting, a space to elaborate on the planning of the next events and steps of Impala.

The initiative also makes it easier for Ibero-American education professionals to train, monitor and control the various teaching methods.

The Strengthening Internationalization Project (Forint) between European and Latin American institutions, and which includes Impala, has allowed UC to progress in increasing and signing agreements with universities from different parts of the world, towards internationalization.
