According to the agenda, the Cuban diplomats will meet tomorrow with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jones Cooper.

Likewise, they will attend the VI Round of Migratory Talks next Thursday and meetings are planned with representatives in the canal country of organizations such as the United Nations Agency for Refugees and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The stay includes meetings with the Martiana Association of Cuban Residents in Panama and with members of the group of the diplomatic mission of the island.

In January 2020, the V Round of Migratory Talks between Cuba and Panama took place in this capital, headed by the General Director of Consular Affairs and Cubans Resident Abroad, Ernesto Soberón; and the director of the National Immigration Service of Panama, Samira Gozaine.

On that occasion, both parties ratified the will and commitment to mutually collaborate and implement joint actions to achieve regular, orderly and safe migration, and to confront human trafficking and illegal migrant smuggling.
