The official press release said that both players returned on Wednesday evening to the hotel where the delegation that is participating in the U-23 Pan-American Baseball Championship is staying in Aguascalientes, after leaving 24 hours earlier.
They were treated with absolute respect and consideration, without ever forgetting that they are students of the Cuban sports education system, the communiqué stated.
In addition, the FCB added that they inquired about their health, nutritional and psychological situation, and the exchange was sincere and transparent.
On the other hand, the FCB reiterated that the suspension of the agreement reached in late 2018 with the Major League of Baseball, by the US Government, causes regrettable events such as those, feeds thirsty for smugglers and enemies of the Cuban Revolution, and puts the lives of young people at risk.
Finally, the FCB stated that Fadraga and Avalos will be reunited with their families in Cuba in the next few hours, while the remaining members of the team will play the final phase of the event with high morale and commitment.
