Soberón presided over the talks on the Cuban side, alongside Eva Chiquimia Mamani, Deputy Minister of Institutional Management and Consular Activity of the Bolivian Foreign Ministry.

A statement published by the Cuban Foreign Ministry indicated this meeting helped examine the flow of both nations´ people. It was held in a cordial and cooperative setting, in accordance with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

Both sides laid stress on the significance of this meeting and also expressed their willingness to strengthen operational and comprehensive mechanisms for bilateral collaboration in migration and consular fields as well as the crackdown on human trafficking and migrant smuggling. pll/jcm/rc
