According to the update of the France Public Health Agency, as many as 65,537 coronavirus cases were diagnosed in the last 24 hours, following 66,564 cases reported on Wednesday.

France´s Covid-19 incidence rate jumped to 494 per 100,000 inhabitants, an indicator which was below 200 a month ago.

Regarding hospitalization toll, the official source reported 16,428 admissions (474 more than those reported on Wednesday), while 907 people are being treated at ICUs.

As for deaths, Public Health France on Thursday registered 50 new deaths, bringing the country´s overall death toll to 155,369 since the outbreak of Covid-19 in March 2020.
