Cuba reports 34 active Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Tuesday reported five new cases of Covid-19, so the total number of patients in the country dropped to 34.

During the day, 10 patients were discharged and the number of recovered cases rose to 1,103,871. Since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,112,494 people have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

MINSAP pointed out that in the last 24 hours no deaths have been reported as a result of the disease, so the total death toll remains at 8,530.

In addition, 90.3 percent of the Cuban population have fully vaccinated, while 8,693,870 people have been administered booster doses of homegrown vaccines.
