Russia urges Moldova to put an end to anti-Russian discourse

Moscow, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Russia urged Moldovan government to end the anti-Russian confrontational discourse, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

Once again, we urge Moldovan authorities to act prudently over Transdniester, and Moscow confirms its readiness to develop pragmatic and constructive interaction with Chisinau, the spokeswoman added.

At present Transdniester is a territory outside the Chisinau control, with all attributes as a state, including its own currency. At the international level, Transdniester was recognized as a nation only by South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The peacekeeping mission in the conflict zone consists of 402 Russian, 492 Transnistrians and 355 Moldovan military personnel.
