Regarding Orlando Blanco, former member of “Unidad Nacional de la Esperanza (UNE)” party, with a seat since 2012, opted to form a party with dissidents and now seeks to be re-elected with “Voluntad, Oportunidad y Solidaridad (VOS)” party.

The Center for Domestic Economic Research (CIEN), Life Project Foundation, Fijate Bien and Guatemala Visible parties recalled in the press release that the 2016 Electoral Law did not punish any candidate for changing from any party.
