Lopez Obrador slams DeSantis-backed immigration law

Mexico City, Jul 3 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Monday blasted the anti-immigration law issued by Florida Gov. Ron Desantis which impacts on migrants in the United States, including Mexicans.

Defending those who seek new opportunities in the United States that unfortunately they do not find in their own countries, López Obrador recalled that migrants are major workforce in the North American nation.

Migrants are the ones that allow the world people to develop, that is why instead of mistreating, repressing and expelling them, they must be protected as stated in the Old and New Testament.
