Damascus, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian and Russian armed forces destroyed a site in the northwest of the country, where terrorist groups stored unmanned aerial vehicles, military sources reported.

According to Admiral Vladimir Kolet, deputy head of the Russian Coordination Center based at the Khmeimim air base, in the province of Latakia, the operation was conducted in the town of Jiftlik-Al-Shaghar, in the northern province of Idlib. The officer went on to add that terrorist facilities were destroyed in the airstrikes.

The Admiral also explained that the jet fighters of the United States-led “International Coalition” continue to create dangerous situations by conducting flights that violate Syrian airspace.

He revealed that 10 violations were recorded in the last 24 hours in the Al-Tanf area, in eastern Syria, where F-15 and F-16 fighters and C-1-QM multi-mission drones caused risks to aeronautical safety.

Moscow and Damascus intensified their attacks against targets of extremist groups, which escalated their attacks by using rockets and drones against civilian communities and military positions.

Radical camps, hideouts, warehouses and drone manufacturing workshops were destroyed as a result of the attacks.

The Syrian national army managed to liberate 56 percent of the Idlib province during its operations in 2020, but the radicals are still in control of the rest, and retain hundreds of thousands of civilians as human shields.
