Nicaragua greets the people of the world for the new year

Managua, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) Nicaragua today conveyed a New Year's greeting to the people, governments, social, labor and cultural movements of the world and urged them to continue the fight against injustice.

Through a statement, the Sandinista Executive described 2023 as a year of numerous tragedies, challenges, great battles and wills.

We greet each other with undefeated and victorious hopes, with faith in the God of all triumphs and confidence in the spiritual strength of heroic and fighting peoples, opening new times to combat the culture of death, the message highlighted.

The text, signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, called for uniting strengths, conscience and efforts to continue building “the true life towards the future that humanity deserves.”

“We greet each other as a union of nations and peoples who believe in our Rights and defend justice, the common good, peace, work, security and joy as the heritage of humanity,” he stressed.

He alluded to the history that they build in shared paths of dignity, brotherhood, solidarity, respect and cooperation of all, and affirmed that they renew their commitment to unity for the definitive liberation of imperial, colonial, tax, overwhelming and genocidal incultures, with new energies and values.

“From the undefeated spirit of the great fighters of humanity, we continue to change the world and Nicaragua, sovereign, dignified and always blessed, greets the vision, traveling paths of unalterable and luminous futures in fraternal union,” he emphasized.

According to the statement, the world continues to change towards the indispensable multipolarity, which is the only thing that is fair, beneficial, auspicious, creating more lights, suns, well-deserved well-being, in unwavering convictions of real and liberating independence.

In that sense, he pointed out that the new world of the peoples free of imperialism and colonialism and the bright Sun of that new day of solidarity cooperation, was already born, and “the holy blood of millions of martyrs and heroes accompanies us, illuminates and fertilizes new horizons.”

“We thank God for the magnificent courage of our people in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America-Caribbean, and the brave citizens of the United States who fight for the end of imperialism and for peace in the new and portentous dawn of cultures , languages, idioms and practices of a community that shares, vibrates, dreams and loves, from our own and prodigious paths,” he concluded.
