Nearly 120 Cuban specialists will arrive in Honduras on February 10th, and will work in 27 public hospitals in the country’s inland regions.
The cooperation agreement was signed at the Presidential House by the Minister of Health of Honduras, Carla Paredes, and the Cuban ambassador in Tegucigalpa, Juan Roberto Loforte.
Paredes explained that the Cuban doctors will be hired by the Secretariat of Strategic Planning and will be assigned to the Escuela hospital in Tegucigalpa, and the Catarino Rivas hospital, in San Pedro Sula, the two main cities in the country.
According to the information, the agreement will last two years and will also allow Honduran doctors to specialize in Cuba.
