With new equipment based on the development of ceramic work, 30 vulnerable people from the Matanzas municipality of Cardenas, mainly women, will take part in the AICS-sponsored workshop.
According to the website www.radio26.cu, the workshop, which is present in several territories of the country, currently benefits 1,000 families in Cuba, 80 percent of whom are women from the provinces of Havana and Matanzas who have access to new economic opportunities thanks to the development of local handicraft resources.
The workshop, which has been carried out in Cuba on other occasions, focuses mainly on developing ceramics and e-commerce through Ejakí, the platform of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC) for the commercialization of handicrafts and the promotion of self-improvement actions.
The website points out that AICS favors cooperation between the municipality of Gualdo Tadino and the accompaniment of several working teams, including representatives of the Municipality of Amelia, the Italian NGOs NECOS and ITACA, and the travel agency Sol & Med.
