Cuban central province towards sustainable development

Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, Mar 3 (Prensa Latina) The top authorities of this central Cuban province are developing strategies aimed at fulfilling the country's demand to give priority to food production to meet the population's demands.

Deivy Pérez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and its first secretary in Sancti Spiritus, demanded the agricultural sectors to move forward with speed in agricultural productions, greater control of their destination, efficiency in contracting, premises to achieve lower prices for the people.

This is one of the objectives demanded by Miguel Díaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, in a recent visit to collectives in the municipality of Jatibonico, where he learned about the projections for 2024.

Among the lines of work left by the president, it stands out to have a greater response in the supply of food and at more affordable prices, main objectives of the people of Sancti Spíritus.

On this issue, Díaz-Canel stressed that food production is the starting point for the population to have food in sufficient quantities, at lower prices and to ensure that wages have better purchasing power.
