ONU denunció ataques israelíes contra periodistas y socorristas

Ramala, 3 mar (Prensa Latina) La agencia de la ONU encargada de ayudar a los palestinos denunció hoy los sistemáticos ataques israelíes contra los trabajadores humanitarios y periodistas en la Franja de Gaza.

“Estamos registrando el mayor número de trabajadores humanitarios y periodistas asesinados en cualquier conflicto”, escribió en X el Organismo de Obras Públicas y Socorro de las Naciones Unidas para los Refugiados de Palestina en Oriente Medio (Unrwa).

La institución destacó que en las últimas horas el fotoperiodista Abdallah resultó gravemente herido en bombardeos en el norte del enclave costero y perdió las piernas.

Durante las últimas semanas, Andallah envió imágenes muy poderosas sobre la escala de destrucción y miseria, subrayó.

En similar sentido se pronunció en la misma red social el comisionado general de la Unrwa, Philippe Lazzarini.

Unwra está bajo fuego tras la acusación del gobierno de Benjamin Netanyahu contra 12 de sus 13 mil empleados por presuntamente participar en la operación del Movimiento de Resistencia Islámica (Hamas), el 7 de octubre último.

Tanto la agencia como la ONU anunciaron una investigación inmediata, pero numerosos países occidentales, entre ellos Estados Unidos, Alemania, Francia y Reino Unido, suspendieron su financiamiento, aunque aún no se probaron las denuncias.
