Angolan President to travel to China to strengthen relations

Luanda, Mar 12 (Prensa Latina) The President of Angola, João Lourenço, will leave today to China for an official visit from March 15 to 17, which is expected to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The agenda of the trip includes meetings with his counterpart, Xi Jinping; with the prime minister of China, Li Qiang, and with the president of the National People’s Congress, Zhao Leji, the press office of the Angolan Presidency informed.

During the visit of the Angolan president to Beijing, new legal instruments will be signed to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries, as well as meetings with local businessmen interested in investing in Angola.

The program also includes an exchange with members of the Angolan community in China.

The head of State will travel on Sunday to a Chinese province, where he will visit companies linked to the pharmaceutical and textile industries, as well as to learn about aspects related to agricultural production in China.

A large delegation will accompany Lourenço on this trip, composed of people linked to the relations between the two nations, such as the ministers of Energy and Water, Transportation, Public Works, Finance, and Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, among others.
