Cuban volleyball player focuses on professional path in Europe

Camagüey, Cuba, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuba has undisputed talents that enhance the volleyball planet and although in terms of results today in the international arena there is still a lot to work on, they are imposing themselves in multiple competitions.

Precisely, this huge talent pool is being developed at the National School and the first category competition for women that is taking place these days in this city, the birthplace of Mireya Luis, for years the maximum standard bearer of a generation that won three consecutive Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000.

Among the athletes with the greatest potential in the Caribbean archipelago, a young woman from Santiago de Cuba stands out as a backup player for Camagüey, who is already on her way to professionally play in Europe under the auspices of the Cuban Volleyball Federation.

At the age of 19, Alejandra Gomez Chacon has everything to succeed at the highest level.

A left-handed opposite, she is one of the main sensations of the event.
