Venezuela reaffirmed consolidation of strategic alliance with Serbia

Caracas, Apr 3 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Venezuela today reaffirmed the irrevocable will to continue consolidating the strategic alliance, brotherhood and cooperation with the Republic of Serbia.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry released a statement in which President Nicolás Maduro reiterated his country’s “unconditional support” to the territorial integrity of the European nation and its efforts in all multilateral spaces in defense of International Law and the historical truth of its courageous town.

The text made reference to the telephone conversation held this Wednesday between the South American head of state and its Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuĉić, in which they addressed issues related to the “excellent bilateral relations.”

Also about the recent opening of the embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Caracas and the appointment of ambassadors in both capitals, he indicated.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratified the “irrevocable will to continue consolidating the strategic alliance, brotherhood and cooperation” between both peoples, always convinced of emerging victorious in the name of justice and equality.

In July of last year, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, made an official visit to Serbia, an occasion in which he highlighted the political coincidences in the defense of Human Rights, respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fight against climate change.

Caracas and Belgrade then signed an agreement to eliminate visas with the purpose of increasing the flow of people between both countries, indicated the Foreign Ministry of the South American nation.
