The event, taking place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds until April 5, aims to speed up the sustainable development recovery in transportation and logistics, highlighting sustainable mobility of passengers and cargo, modernization of transportation means and infrastructure, the use of renewable energies, efficiency of supply chains, and logistics.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, who toured the venue and exchanged views with several exhibitors, attended the first day of the Fair.
During the opening ceremony, Transport Minister Eduardo Rodríguez indicated that the Fair’s challenge is to find points of common interest among the participants and work according to them.
The transport minister stated that more than 120 Cuban and foreign exhibiting companies are attending FITL 2024, and the number of participants exceed 600.
Rodríguez emphasized that the country’s commitment is to advance in development, for which a transportation and logistics infrastructure program has been developed, which is aligned with the 2030 National Economic and Social Development Plan.
