President of Vietnam’s parliament concludes visit to China

Hanoi, Apr 12 (Prensa Latina) The president of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue, concluded his official visit to China.

Din Hue and his delegation held a meeting this Thursday with the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the president of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress in Yunnan province, Wang Ning.

The Vietnamese parliamentarian reaffirmed Vietnam’s policy of deepening ties with China and enhancing traditional neighborliness, comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and resolve to build a community of shared future between the two nations.

Dinh Hue suggested that both sides collaborate on border patrols, anti-terrorism efforts, crime prevention, and in stronger cooperation in key areas such as railway connectivity, tourism, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination in border management and protection to properly solve outstanding and other emerging issues and suggested that Yunnan continue to preserve historical sites where President Ho Chi Minh and other leaders of the Vietnamese revolution worked.

In turn, Wang Ning said that Yunnan Province values friendship and cooperation with Vietnam and is willing to work closely to effectively realize the common perceptions of senior leaders of the two countries.

The Chinese functionary also highlighted the province’s strategic location and natural resources, which strive to improve rail and road connectivity, expand trade and logistics cooperation, and consolidate its role as a gateway to Southeast and South Asia, including Vietnam.

Yunnan will also improve cooperation on border gate infrastructure and connectivity, streamline and improve customs procedures, and collaborate on green and modern agriculture, clean energy, healthcare, culture, education and tourism, Wang Ning stated.
