Obsessed with imposing its military hegemony over the entire globe, the U.S. is trying to make a new random move in the Asia-Pacific region, international security affairs commentator Jong Min said.

Recently, the U.S. Pacific land forces commander accused the Chinese military of embarking on an irresponsible path in the use of military means and announced that his country would deploy a new medium-range missile in the region in 2024, he noted.

Washington intends to locate such a ground-launched missile, capable of striking directly at any time at specific regional states, the commentary noted.

The agency explains, that as soon as Washington unilaterally withdrew in August 2019 from the medium- and short-range missile cancellation treaty, concluded with Russia, the United States developed and modernized a medium-range missile and completed this project by the end of 2022, it states.
