China rejects U.S. interference policy

Beijing, Apr 23 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China rejected the practice of interference policies by the U.S. government against sovereign countries.

The spokesman of that ministry, Wang Wenbin, declared in a press conference that China’s right to carry out normal economic and commercial exchanges with Russia cannot be infringed.

Referring to reports that the United States is drafting sanctions that could isolate some Chinese banks from the global financial system, Wenbin assured that Beijing will firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests.

We firmly oppose Washington’s hypocritical practice of pouring gasoline on the fire while blaming China. Our right to conduct normal economic and trade exchanges with other countries, including Russia, cannot be infringed.

According to reports, the United States is preparing financial sanctions against Chinese banks to force Beijing to cut off its trade relations with Russia due to concerns that trade between the two nations will strengthen Moscow’s military industry.
