Through X, the Head of State added that he was in constant contact with the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, since last night and during the early hours of this morning.
Díaz-Canel stressed that several provinces have now started their micro-systems and power stations are beginning to synchronise and contributing to the power grid.
Minister Vicente de la O Levy reported on the growing number of users with electricity already as the SEN is being restablished.
According to Lázaro Guerra, director of electrical energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, 225 megawatts are being supplied in the country, with priority being given to vital centres.
Guerra explained on national television that the breakdown of the Diezmero substation, which caused a significant loss of generation in western Cuba and the SEN collapse, “will not delay the process of restoring the system”.
The specialist stressed that actions to restore the SEN are being carried out gradually to avoid setbacks that would imply a longer time to restore the system.
