“This trip is to continue strengthening relations between Honduras, the United States, and Puerto Rico”, the minister underscored on Sunday.
Moncada announced at a press briefing that he will travel to San Juan, along with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Roosevelt Hernandez, and Senior Defense Attache Officer at Washington’s Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Colonel Miguel Gonzalez.
She stated, “We aim to join efforts and establish joint operational developments. We will share information about our missions, identify opportunities for cooperation, and reaffirm medium and long-term commitments.”
Moncada, who is also the presidential candidate of the governing Liberty and Refoundation Party (LIBRE), announced that her working agenda will address issues of mutual interest in terms of security, organized crime, drug trafficking networks, and their impact on the region, specifically in Honduras.
