The Chinese high representative made these statements during a meeting held in this capital with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

At the Great Hall of the People, the head of Cuban diplomacy expressed admiration for China’s achievements and results and its contribution to the world’s balance and the international system.

He added, “We will always be loyal to the One China principle and act in close coordination against any attempt to take action contrary to the interest of the Chinese people, its party, and its government.”

Rodriguez described the ties among China, Latin America, and the Caribbean as promising and with great potential, concerning the China-CELAC Ministerial Forum to be held in this capital on Tuesday.

The foreign minister conveyed greetings from the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raul Castro, and President and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Li, who is also Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, highlighted the Cuban people’s strong commitment to defending the truth and their resistance to external pressure.

Rodriguez arrived in this capital on Sunday to attend the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum.

The assembly will feature almost 20 foreign ministers, other high-level representatives of the region, and the presidents of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva; Colombia, Gustavo Petro; and Chile, Gabriel Boric.
