The initiative, to be extend to 723 districts across the country, seeks to raise awareness among approximately 150 million farmers about introducing modern technology and the use of new seed varieties, Chouhan explained at a press conference.
The minister added that a team of scientists will visit nearly 65,000 villages to train farmers in practical and scientific farming techniques.
Chouhan stressed that agriculture remains the backbone of the national economy, providing a livelihood for nearly half of the population and forming the basis for the country’s food security.
