In statements to the Rossiya 24 television channel this Monday, Pushilin highlighted the successes of Russian troops in the Krasny Limansk area, highlighting the occupation of the village of Torskoye and the advance toward neighboring settlements.
The official emphasized that it is important to take into account the settlement of Torskoye and the surrounding towns, where Russian units are currently directing their main efforts.
According to Pushilin, Russian units are continuing active operations in the surrounding areas after the capture of Torskoye, with particular attention positioning and advancing toward adjacent territories. He also highlighted the Russian army’s occupation of the strategic town of Bogatyr, also in the Donetsk People’s Republic, which, like Torskoye and Alexandropol, has complicated the situation for Ukrainian troops near Krasny Liman.
The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that the capture of Bogatyr was a severe blow to enemy defenses on the southern Donetsk line, as the Ukrainian army had transformed this town into a heavily fortified area and a logistics center several kilometers from the border with the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The Ministry added that, according to Kyiv’s plans, Ukrainian units had expected to halt the advance of Russian Troop Group East on this line.
