This event is a tribute to the legendary Mexican composer and singer Armando Manzanero, an emblematic figure of romantic music in Latin America, according to a press release from the Cuban Institute of Music.

The Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater will host this concert next Saturday, June 7, at 5:00 p.m. local time, with free admission to the public, subject to theater capacity.

Top-level Mexican and Cuban artists will join forces to celebrate the immense legacy of Manzanero, known as “Señor Romanticismo,” and will revive timeless classics such as “Adoro,” “Contigo Aprendí,” and “Somos Novios.”

Representing Mexico will be Aranza, Rodrigo de la Cadena, Carlos Cuevas, Alejandra Ávalos, Laura Flores, Los Miranda, Marcos Morel, Luis Perez Sabido, and Marco Antonio del Muro.

Representing Cuba will be Beatriz Marquez, Vania Borges, Haila Maria Mompie, Sergio Farías, Karel Bartutis, Alwin Damian, and Waldo Mendoza, according to the release.

The artists will be accompanied by the Cuban Radio and Television Orchestra and Choir, under the musical direction of Maestro Miguel Patterson (Cuba).

The artistic direction will be in the hands of Efraín Sabas (Cuba) and Rodrigo de la Cadena (Mexico).
