Five of our colleagues working on joint projects with the World Food Program were killed in the past two days as a result of Israeli attacks, and two more were seriously injured, the Türkiye institution reported, providing a list of the deceased and condemning the attacks on humanitarian workers.

In early May, Israeli authorities announced a new plan to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip residents amid a major escalation in fighting.

Under the plan, the aid will be distributed in areas where there is no Hamas presence, whose members were previously accused of looting humanitarian supplies

Meanwhile, on May 20, the head of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees Philippe Lazzarini said that Israel’s plan to resume sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip is aimed at forcibly displacing residents from the Palestinian’s enclave.
