During his tour, Macron pursued common objectives such as reinforcing France’s presence in the region, especially in strategic areas such as defense, energy, and trade, and continuing to strengthen bilateral relations with each nation visited.
Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and the French president witnessed, this Friday, the exchange of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) related to cooperation in security, justice, defense, artificial intelligence (AI), transportation, and other sectors.
In addition to First Lady Brigitte Macron, the delegation accompanying the French head of State included Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Minister Eric Lombard; Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu; and Europe and Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, among others.
