This action represents a dangerous escalation of aggressive policies aimed at perpetuating the occupation and imposing a fait accompli by force in the West Bank, the regional legislature warned.
It affirmed that it also undermines all prospects for a just and comprehensive peace and closes the door to the two-state solution, which is the basis for establishing a Palestinian homeland.
The Parliament recalled that United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2334 rejects Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
The legislative body held legally and humanitarily the international community, in particular that UN body, responsible for that situation, and called on the world to take urgent steps to stop the Israeli aggression.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the expansion of Israeli settlements and incursions in the West Bank requires immediate action by the international community.
