The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 57 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Kursk bordering province.
The Defense Ministry release added that 31 other UAVs were destroyed over the Belgorod Oblast; 27 over the Lipetsk Oblast; 16 over the Voronezh Oblast; 11 over the Bryansk Oblast; 11 over the Ryazan Oblast, six over the Oryol region; two in the Peninsula of Crimea, and one over Tambov.
Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshtein, in turn, announced that due to the Ukrainian drone attacks, three houses, an apartment building, and the building of the dispensary for venereal and dermatological diseases were damaged, and no casualties were reported.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Peninsula of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
