In his Lebanon visit, Araghchi highlighted efforts to end the Israeli occupation during a meeting with President Joseph Aoun.

At Baabda Palace in Beirut, the Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated that support for Lebanon is part of the good relations between the two countries and the principle of non-interference in domestic politics. The diplomat emphasized that Iran supports national dialogue in Lebanon between different sects, groups, and tendencies.

As for President Aoun, he expressed his willingness to strengthen interstate relations with Iran and insisted on internal and inter-country dialogue as the gateway to resolving contentious issues, free from violence.

The head of state maintained that rebuilding the land destroyed by the Israeli war in the country is one of the government’s priorities, in cooperation with sister and friendly nations, in accordance with applicable laws.

Araghchi stressed that Tehran places great importance on Lebanese independence and territorial unity: “The Islamic Republic’s relations with Lebanon are historic, deep-rooted, and based on mutual respect, and we are determined to develop them,” the authority emphasized.
