A statement from the Italian Foreign Ministry’s website indicates that the exchange between the government delegations of both countries was held at the Santa Giulia Museum Complex, located in Brescia, Lombardy region.

The release stated that before the dialogue opened, Tajani and Goyal visited the Brescia waste-to-energy plant of the A2A Group, one of the leading Italian players in the energy transition and circular economy sectors.

The Italian foreign minister noted that these events in Brescia aim to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation, in continuity with the Scientific and Technological Business Forum held in New Delhi, the capital of India, on April 10 and 11 this year.

He stated that they “underscored Italy’s commitment to strengthening the excellent ties with India, a key country for our foreign policy, especially in such a complex geopolitical scenario.”

The source added that both the dialogue and the forum are attended by high-level officials from business associations and government agencies of the two countries, including the General Confederation of Italian Industries, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and the Italy-India Association for Cooperation and Partnership (AIICP).
