Mexico to hold convention to promote coffee sustainability

Mexico City, Jun 5 (Prensa Latina) Mexican authorities are arranging the final details to hold the first edition of the National Coffee Convention, Puebla 2025, next week, aimed at promoting sustainability and profitability in this sector.

A statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development noted that the forum, active from June 12 to 15, aims to promote social and economic benefits for small-scale coffee-producing families.

During the meeting, attendees could visit state pavilions and sites dedicated to the three coffee-growing regions of Puebla: Sierra Norte, Nororiental, and Negra.

Ana Laura Altamirano, Secretary of Rural Development in Puebla, noted, “This convention will not only be a space for dialogue, but an authentic national coffee festival, where producers, specialists, entrepreneurs, and lovers of this emblematic product will converge.”

The event will include contests, awards, national and international keynote speeches, and agro-industrial and artisanal workshops with products derived from coffee.
