Addressed to all political, public, and private actors, as well as social organizations, the call urges the end of actions, discourse, and attitudes that agitate violence, as these can lead to an irreversible impact on democratic stability, the institutionality of the State, and the human rights of the Bolivian people.
In this regard, the Commission considers it essential that the general elections scheduled for August of this year be held in an environment free of pressure, threats, misinformation, or actions that generate fear or conflict.
It demands that the Electoral Body exercise its powers and guarantee the proper conduct of the electoral process, which is honest, transparent, and competitive.
The entity urges the mobilized sectors to exercise their political rights in an environment of respect for democratic norms and responsible freedom of expression, without violence that affects the rights of persons not involved in the protests.
Finally, it urges citizens to maintain a critical, vigilant, and peaceful attitude, committed to democracy, respect for human rights, and the search for constructive solutions.
