The Madleen ship was carrying food, medicines, and other essential items, as well as some activists, including renowned environmentalist Greta Thunberg, French-Palestinian MEP Rima Hassan, and 10 other volunteers.
Lawyer Nelson Hadad said this Israeli action is illegal, it violates international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea that guarantees free navigability, especially in international waters.
