“They are going to give us the results next Tuesday of the decrease in homicides, with the complete data for May. The reduction in homicides, since we arrived to date, is at 25%,” the President said on Friday during her usual press conference.
Standing out as part of the most recent actions against organized crime, are the dismantling of five clandestine drug production laboratories and the seizure of some 42,24 tons of methamphetamine in the western state of Michoacán.
From October 1, 2024, the beginning of the current administration, until last May 18, the forces of law and order arrested 21,411 people for high impact crimes and seized 157 tons of drugs and 11,000 firearms, according to official data.
The administration is implementing a national security strategy based on four axes: attention to the causes, consolidation of the National Guard, strengthening of intelligence and investigation, and coordination with the federal entities.
