Montevideo, Jun 25 (Prensa Latina) Digital commerce is today encouraging the labor market in Uruguay, according to data from the Advice consulting firm released here.

The source indicates that seven percent of the jobs published come from the digital economy and e-commerce, which corresponds to an increase of 229 percent in the last five years.

Advice found that more than 2,600 job offers related to e-commerce have been published so far this year, which positions it as a relevant driver of the new digital market.

The consulting firm identified job categories that make up this new dynamic of the Uruguayan labor market.

It referred to the management and support of online sales and includes positions such as digital salespeople, customer service assistants and digital market specialists.

This core grew 164 percent between 2020 and 2024, with a projection of 185 percent by the end of 2025, according to the source.

In second place it identified the logistics value chain, which comprises tasks such as order assembly, shipping and delivery.
