Jahnavi Dangeti, India’s first astronaut on Titans Space mission

New Delhi, Jun 26 (Prensa Latina) Jahnavi Dangeti will be the first Indian astronaut to participate on the US Titans Space mission, which envisages two laps around the planet for about five hours, Indian Express reports.

Dangeti will join Titans Space in 2029 that will offer about three hours of continuous zero gravity, which will provide a revolutionary environment for scientific research and the development of manned spaceflight, according to the newspaper.

Yesterday, the Axiom-4 Space Mission departed for the International Space Station (ISS) with astronauts from India, Hungary, Poland and the United States.

In a publication in X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the launch and wished great success to the crew, especially to Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, of whom he said she is a source of pride for the people of his country.

According to the Indian Express newspaper, minutes after the launch, Shubhanshu Shukla said that this event marked the beginning of India’s manned spaceflight program.
