The authorities of the aforementioned institution want Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be another step towards the country’s prosperity, but always with an inclusive and sustainable character.
Last Friday, several actors of the society met in this capital to debate on AI.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) joined this effort, as it recognizes AI as a strategic lever to speed up the transformation of societies.
According to the digital newspaper Haiti Libre, attendees were able to discuss the importance of AI to address complex challenges, including climate change, social inequalities, access to essential services.
Thanks to AI it is possible to help design local, inclusive and sustainable solutions, and at the same time it is an chance for young people to have a tool for empowerment, job creation, innovation in education, health, agriculture and entrepreneurship.
One of the objectives of the UNDP-sponsored event is to position Haiti as a full-fledged player in the global digital revolution.
