Protecting families from collapse is an urgent priority in light of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions observed in the Palestinian territories, especially the Gaza Strip, Social Development Minister Samah Hamad affirmed at a regional preparatory meeting for the 2nd World Summit for Social Development, held in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia.
Quoted by Wafa news agency, the official described “the painful panorama of the humanitarian situation in Palestine.”
Thousands of families have been abandoned to famine, amid constant aggression, a crushing blockade, and a near-total collapse of the basic needs, the minister underscored.
She also informed that dozens of children have lost their lives due to hunger and cold in recent months, in an unimaginable scene.
