Havana, July 2 (Latin Press) The Cuban film 'A Night with the Rolling Stones', by Patricia Ramos, won the Audience Award at the Ravno Selo Festival in Serbia, reported today the Cuban Institute of Art and Film Industry (Icaic).

The president of that institution, Alexis Triana, added in his account of the social network Facebook that 24 films from 13 countries were competing at the contest, which were seen by about seven thousand spectators.

Also written by Patricia Ramos, the 92-minute film was produced by Icaic y Mar y Cielo S.A.; it features photography by Alexander González, editing by Kenia Velázquez, music by Magda Rosa Galbán, Juan Antonio Leyva, and sound by Angie Hernández.

‘One Night with the Rolling Stones’ was selected as the best fiction film premiered on the Caribbean island in 2024 by the Cuban Association of Cinematographic Press (ACPC), a national branch of the International Federation of Cinematographic Press (FIPRESCI).

Last year it was also awarded for Best International Feature Film at the Puerto Rico Film Festival and a Mention of Honor as Best Actress for Lola Amores; and was nominated for the Best Sound Award (Angie Hernández) in the XII Platinum Awards of Ibero-American Cinema.

The film is set in Havana in 2016 and focuses on the everyday life of Rita (Lola Amores), a mature woman with a teenage son who wants to go live abroad and an elderly mother who wants to die peacefully.

This drama is joined by a lifelong friend, a frustrated actress who does not want to grow old, and a married lover whom she intends to leave for a new love in the days leading up to the historic Rolling Stones concert in Havana.
